ABOUT
me
A serendipitous trip to New York in 2001 opened my eyes to the fashion accessories industry. This quest led me to a career in the wholesale market where again, I learned a lot. Then in 2004, frustrated with desk life, I felt the urge to leave the corporate world to pursue design independently. I found myself representing a talented group of young, emerging designers in the Bay Area. It was the little business that could. In 2005 I opened my first boutique, Relish At Home based in Berkeley, California. Today it serves as a shop and my design studio where I meet with clients and celebrate the best in handmade design offering accessories and gifts made by independent designers.
In the Summer of 2005, I designed my first flora hairpin as a modern alternative to a traditional wedding veil. One thing led to another and much to my surprise, the design was featured nationwide in 2006, and as they say, the rest is history...
My work is heavily influenced by vibrant color, texture and fluidity. I tend to incorporate elements into my work organically, as I draw inspiration from my childhood in the country, to my current urban dwellings. I pay attention to the tiniest details, always love a new challenge, and lose myself in everything from the past. I fancy life and all of its daily wonder... and I love weddings, but they always make me cry.
Thanks for visiting. I hope you enjoy my work.

a little bit
K.Autumn, is short for Kelly Autumn Sperbeck.
I grew up in Sonoma County surrounded by orchards and open land, animals, and my dad’s wood shop. I suppose I fell into arts & crafts as a way to keep my hands busy. Some of my best memories are sewing with my grandma and making my own clothes to wear to school.
My lifelong interest in fashion led to a five-year stint in costume design which provided the technical foundation for most of my current designs. Quite simply, I learned a lot. Relocating to San Francisco State University in the late 90’s, I studied fashion, business marketing, and spent many long hours in the textile lab, finally graduating with a BA in Apparel & Textile Design.
